Meet Pastor Cedar Bibiolata and his wife, Sherryl Joy. Lord willing, they arrive this evening, 3/4/16, from the Philippines!  We are so grateful for our Filipino brethren who were willing to lend them to us for a short-term missions trip to our city of Milpitas, California.  As you will find in the 2010 census, Asians constitute 62.2% of our city’s population, with Filipinos as the largest Asian group! We do look to the Lord for courage and open doors as we try to reach out to the Filipinos and the various ethnic communities in our city, and do thank the Lord of the Harvest for the prayers of His people! Pastor Cedar and Joy’s return flight to the Philippines is 5/31/16, just one day short of 90 days with us.  As much as they were willing to lend Pastor Cedar and Joy to us, we’re sure our Filipino brethren are as much excited to have them back, counting the days for their return!  

Revelation 7 describes those whom the Lord has saved–the sealed of God, a great multitude that no one could number from all tribes and peoples and languages, who cry with a loud voice, “ Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (Revelation 7:1-9). By way of introduction to this marvelous chapter, let me go back in time– to the beginning: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1). And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth (1:14). He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God (John 1:10-13). Text: Revelation 6:1-8 In chapters 4 and 5 of Revelation, we read of Almighty God, seated on the throne, and of the triumphant Lion/Lamb, Jesus Christ, who alone was found worthy to open “the scroll and its seven seals.”   John wrote, “I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: ‘To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb      be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!’ The four living creatures said, ‘Amen,’ and the elders fell down and worshiped.” Read Revelation 6 (compare Zechariah 6:1-8) and you will be introduced to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The first rider was given authority to conquer; the second, to take peace from the earth, that men would slay each other; the third was holding a pair of scales in his hand, referring to a great famine; and the fourth, “power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, ...

At the time Israel was about to enter the Promised Land, neighboring nations commonly practiced idol worship. It was the “norm.” Communities worshipped images and idolized heavenly bodies, nature, and even creatures.
